In the iPhone, iPad or Android app
- Open Melopra and go to Settings, then Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete account.
On the web
- Sign in at app.melopra.com. You don't need the app installed.
- Go to Settings, then Account, and choose Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
Can't sign in? Use "Sign in with a code" on the sign-in page, which emails you a code instead of needing your password.
By email
Email hello@melopra.com and ask us to delete your account. To protect you, we never delete an account on an email alone: we'll write back to the address the account belongs to and ask you to confirm. Once you reply, we delete it within 30 days and let you know when it's done.
The quickest way is still to do it yourself on app.melopra.com. Signing in with a code proves the address is yours, so no back and forth is needed.
Delete your data but keep your account
To clear everything out and start again with the same sign-in, in the app or on app.melopra.com:
- Go to Settings, then Data.
- Choose Reset all data, then Reset everything.
This permanently deletes your pieces, sections, exercises, categories, warm-up, practice history, journal notes, performance runs and metronome preferences, on every device you use. Your account, email address, name and settings are kept, and so is your subscription.
To delete just one section or exercise, open it and choose Delete. A piece can be archived from its page; to remove pieces entirely, use Reset all data above.
What is deleted when you delete your account
Deleting your account removes it immediately and permanently, along with everything in it:
- your sign-in details (email address and password);
- your profile, including your name and instrument;
- your pieces, sections, exercises, categories and warm-up;
- your practice history, journal notes, goals and performance runs;
- your settings and metronome preferences.
This can't be undone. There is no grace period, and nothing is kept in a form we could restore.
What is kept
- Payment records. Apple, Google or Stripe keep the record of any purchase you made, under their own policies, and RevenueCat keeps the record of the subscription itself, because tax and accounting law requires purchase records to be kept. They hold no practice data.
- Error reports. Crash reports already sent to our error-monitoring service carry only an anonymous account number, never your email, name or practice content, and expire on their own within 90 days.
Anything stored on your own phone or in your browser is removed when you sign out or delete the app.
